Healthy Food Choices For Dinner



Kitchen appliances can account for up to 15% of your home energy usage and how you choose to cook will impact your energy bill. By following some energy savings tips, you can reduce your bills and here's how.

These slow cooker recipes are recipes for meals that you can prepare in a crock pot while you are away from home. This type of pot is designed to cook food at a very slow pace, so it is always best to start one of your favorite crock pot recipes before you leave for work in the morning. By setting your pot on its lowest setting, you are, in a sense, cooking your meal at a very slow pace. This way your food does not burn while you are at work, and it is ready to serve when you get home. The hardest part of preparing slow cooker recipes is washing the crock pot when you are done!

Place ribs under broiler for 10-15 minutes and broil. Ribs should be nicely seared, but not blackened or charred. Add ribs, onion and marinade to the crock-pot. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

If you have a large crock pot, why not use it to prepare a turkey? When you make a turkey dinner, it's hard to get everything done at once because the turkey takes up most of your oven space. When you use your slow cooker slow cooker pork ribs to cook a turkey, you have your entire oven free to cook side dishes.

A few very special visitors will be there from Florida too. Bush likes to thank those special folks for throwing the election his way. He has the Supreme Court members over for the BBQ too.

bbq ribs seem to be the passion of many. Today I share a recipe that was designed for ribs but I have rewritten and used for chicken. (If you want to use it for ribs this makes a 2 pound slab) My favorite chicken to use is the thigh. They have the most flavor and are easy to handle on the grill. If you are a fan of those boneless skinless chicken boobs feel free to use them. It is your mouth that's going to eat them. You will note I have suggested Your Favorite BBQ Sauce...that is basically because everyone's taste buds crave a different version of the sweet and spicy sauce. Y'all best roll up your sleeves, take off your rings, wash your hands, and let's get cooking.

Country-style ribs: These are not actually ribs at all. Instead this cut of meat comes from the top part of the shoulder of a hog (referred to as the "butt"). A country-style rib is simply a slow cooker pork ribs butt that has been sliced across the bone into smaller sections.

Of course, each appliance is "specialized" to cook certain foods but when you can choose, I encourage you to do so. Below is a table showing the energy costs of various ribs on the grill methods.

Any delicate vegetable like asparagus or peas will also be wasted on this dish; they will go gray and tasteless by the time you take it out of the oven or turn off the heat for serving.
